New Principal Anita Silverman and Director of Middle Colleges Dante Brown Attend School Leader Retreat

Newly-appointed Principal Dr. Anita Silverman and newly-named Director of Middle Colleges Dante Brown attended a Summer School Leader Retreat held on our campus Monday, June 16. The purpose of the retreat, sponsored by the Greater Educational Opportunities Foundation (GEO), is to cover topics of interest to school leaders such as new software and educational opportunities for our students, new ways of communicating with our parents, grappling with budget issues, dealing with difficult retention and promotion issues, and many others.

Each one of the 12 scheduled sessions included a great deal of interaction between presenter and attendees, allowing Silverman and Brown to ask questions that specifically relate to Fall Creek Academy and our children. Because the GEO Foundation sponsors and supports Fall Creek Academy, these conversations, debate, and instruction will continue through summer and into the school year.

Attendees included school leaders and Middle College directors from Gary, Indianapolis, and Colorado Springs.
