FCA receives award to promote physical fitness

Fall Creek Academy has been selected as a 2010 recipient of the ING Run For Something Better School Awards Program. The award, sponsored by ING and National Association of Sport and Physical Education, will help the school prevent obesity in its students by making additional fitness opportunities available.

Over 350 applications were submitted for the 2010 award, and FCA was one of 60 to be selected.

The program will introduce kids to the benefits of running and physical fitness and empower children with the means to achieve a healthy lifestyle that they can maintain for the long term.

A formal presentation of the award is slated for September.
