Sensational Sensory Items for Resource Room
February 8, 2010
Special education students can excel with sensory items integrated into their learning. But Ms. Brinkman's classroom lacks the tools for their 50 students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
"I have several students who need sensory breaks throughout the day due to their disability," said Ms. Brinkman. "These items will allow my students to have a better focus in the classroom and the ability to complete their class work with a higher level of concentration."
To get the necessary tools, she turned to Donors Choose to obtain 12 sensory items from wiggle seats to tactile discs.
"These will truly make a difference in their lives today, tomorrow, and in the future."
