Donors Choose:
Providing a clear career path

Ms. Lawson wanted to provide her special needs high school students with career options and opportunities that they may not have considered before. Creating a better transition from high school to college to a career became a top priority for Ms. Lawson.

After posting a request on Donors Choose for funding for subscriptions to Career World, Career Folio Curriculum, What Do I Want to Be? and other career resources, the project was fully funded within one week.

Each student now has the opportunity to learn about various careers, and explore them, through the Weekly Reader subscription and the career resources made available to them.

"My students' lives will definitely be changed because of this," said Ms. Lawson. "These donors might have just helped the next scientist or doctor realize their path."
